Clearview Plastics · Bambu Lab X2 / P2 Series External Enclosure V4 · X2D / P2S / P2P
The shell on an X2D or P2S is built to hold heat around the print, and it does that well. What it does not do is keep fumes and particulate isolated to the printer — the stock filter was never built for that job. Heat stays in. Everything else ends up in the room you're standing in. Meanwhile the AMS, every spool you own and the whole filament path sit outside the machine in that same air, collecting whatever dust your shop makes.
The Clearview V4 Enclosure puts a second, controlled volume around all of it. Printer, AMS, spools, material path — one box, with a filtered intake low, an exhaust port high, and a mounting pattern ready for real filtration or a duct run out a window. Bolt-on, cut here, about thirty minutes to assemble, no modification to the printer.
Two heights — 24″ and 31.5″, tall encloses the AMS Four 120 mm ports — two rear, one per side Ships flat-packed · most orders in 10 business days or less
The case for a second box
A printer's shell is built to hold heat around the print. An enclosure is built to hold air around the printer — and then give that air somewhere to go. Two different jobs. Two boxes.
Off-gassing happens at some level with every filament — PLA included. Contained air that never leaves the room isn't managed air. The enclosure concentrates it so a filter or exhaust can actually do something with it.
The AMS and your spools live in room air — humidity, dust, drafts. The 31.5″ height brings the printer, the AMS and the full filament path into one controlled volume.
Sanding grit, wood dust, metal chips, pet hair. A machine that shares a bench with a saw or a grinder is pulling all of it through the motion system. A second wall keeps the shop out of the printer.
Every seal on every machine fails the second you pull a part out. Inside a Clearview enclosure that moment happens in a volume that's still being drawn through the exhaust, not in the middle of your office.
What you're getting — tall size shown
No frame between the two, so the front and top open as one span — much more room to reach the plate, the machine and the AMS. A side access door reaches the USB port and power switches without opening the front.
Every Clearview filter lands on the same pattern. Pick the port that faces the right way for your bench and bolt it on — nothing gets cut or drilled to make it fit.
Strip lighting along the top rails so you can watch a print through smoked or clear panels without opening a door. Skip it if your bench is already lit.
The 31.5″ height carries the AMS atop the printer, inside the box, as usual. Either height can also take it on top of the enclosure — that setup calls for the 1/4″ commercial panels.
Corner brackets, latches and mounts print from the included STL files, or arrive in black PETG. Split grommets pass power and USB through the panel instead of through a door gap.
The printer's own side spool holder loads and spins as shipped. Nothing gets removed or relocated to make the enclosure fit.
Tailored fit
V4 is the fourth revision of this panel set, and the whole point of the revisions is fit. It is dimensioned to the X2 and P2 series specifically — not a universal box shimmed down until it clears. That matters less for how it looks than for how you work. A box that is the wrong size is a box you fight on every print. This one is sized so the machine keeps working the way you already use it.

Panels bolt to printed corner brackets — print them yourself from the STL files, or take the pre-printed black PETG kit. Brackets and fittings come in black or Prusa Orange. Split grommets close back around whatever you push through them.

Front door and top hatch open as one span, with a side access door for the ports and switches. The enclosure opens toward the side of the machine you actually stand on.
Ports
Two on the rear panel and one on each side panel, every one of them cut to the same 120 mm fan mounting pattern. Ports you are not using ship covered, so the enclosure is closed on day one and ready the day you change your mind.

The unit mounts flat to the panel on the 120 mm pattern. Exhaust moves air out of the enclosure and outside through the window insert. Reduces fumes and smells.

The intake filter feeds clean make-up air in at a low port. Where a window is not an option, the recirculating carbon and HEPA unit mounts to the same pattern and returns filtered air to the room. Reduces fumes and smells.
Air management
Those are two halves of one system, and they only work together. It is also why this enclosure is not gasketed — restrict the airflow and you neuter the filtration. All three mount to the port pattern and are selectable when you configure the enclosure. Pick the level that matches your space and your sensitivity.
Fan housing, 4″ hose and window insert, with carbon and HEPA. Moves air outside and reduces fumes and smells. The simplest setup of the three — needs exterior vent access and is slightly bulkier.
HEPA and activated charcoal in a streamlined unit. No window required, reduces fumes and smells, and it holds chamber temperature. Honestly: under heavy high-temp use it isn't always a complete answer on odor.
Donaldson filtration with far deeper capacity than the other two. Absolute assurance on VOC and particulate mitigation. This is the answer when reduction isn't enough — occupied offices, clinics, labs, anyone who needs certainty rather than reduction.
Which one: for PLA and PETG, the intake and exhaust pair lets you dial in the enclosure temperature and vent straight outside through a 4″ hose. For ASA, ABS and above, the recirculating filter is the one — it keeps down fumes and smells with activated charcoal and HEPA while holding chamber temperature up.
Most people assume PLA is completely benign. Our customers who are physicians, engineers, or running professional environments don't make that assumption. Off-gassing happens at some level with every filament. The question is just what level of management is right for your space and your sensitivity.
For institutional buyers
Schools, labs, aerospace and defense shops, shared makerspaces. The equipment clears the technical review and then stalls on documentation, because someone in EHS or facilities needs written evidence before a machine goes into an occupied room. The safety and compliance document package hands that reviewer what they need in one place.
For a lot of buyers this is the difference between "we'll look into it" and a purchase order.
Fitment and options
AMS goes on top of the enclosure, or stays on the bench and feeds in. The shorter box wraps the machine and nothing more.
Table height 28–32″. Minimum table top 26″ × 25.5″.
AMS goes inside, on top of the printer the way it already sits. Spools, filament path and machine all in one controlled volume.
Table height 26–30″. A 31.5″ enclosure on a 32″ table puts the top hatch above eye level for most people.
Both heights: same footprint — the tall version goes up, not out. Plan on a table rated to at least 120 lb, more if the AMS sits on top of the enclosure rather than inside it, since that also raises the centre of gravity. An IKEA LACK is too small at 21.65″ square; use a ~26″ top or two side by side. A table that flexes shows up as ringing in your prints, so pick a solid top over a light one.
An optically clear acrylic front panel so you can watch the print, with white expanded PVC on the sides, rear and top. Five-sided. It performs the same — there is just less to look through.
If you change one thing on the configurator, change this. Same thickness all the way around, better fit, feel and finish — then pick the material that matches what you print. Required if you plan to set the AMS on top of the enclosure.
Clear acrylic is the best all-round choice and covers almost every filament, including ABS, ASA and PC. Smoked is the same panel with a quieter look. Polycarbonate trades scratch resistance for impact resistance, for the specialised setups that call for it. Amber orange screens UV for resin work.
Panel choice is the one option you can't change after the fact.

The largest reason that this enclosure was requested by the Bambu userbase is that the Stock filter for the is insufficient to keep fumes and particulate isolated to the printer. Studies show that fumes and ultra fine particles exist as a byproduct of 3D printing with all filaments and these byproduct show to have long term health effects. Also, printers are not always used in a climate-controlled area such as a garage largely because there is concern for the health and safety of the people around the printer, such as kids. Our enclosure offers an easier to control printing environment and isolates the fumes and particulate that are a byproduct of 3D printing. With Clearview's line of filters and exhaust fans, you can keep your workspace cleaner and healthier to ensure those around you feel safe as well.

Transform your Bambu Lab X2/P2 into a professional-grade printing station with Clearview's X2/P2 External Enclosure V4. Customize it to your needs, and enjoy the benefits of a controlled, clean, safe, and quiet printing environment.

We also have adapted options for our Carbon Air Scrubbing filter and vibration dampening feet. Both do as they suggest. The Carbon Air Scrubbing Filter uses a silent fan to pass air through a carbon filter to reduce fumes created from the 3D printing process. Especially if you are printing ABS, you will want to include the filter option. Our Vibration Dampening Feet use a multi material lamination that dissipates vibrations at 5 different levels. If you are printing in an area where printing noise needs to be reduced, this is an essential addition to your 3D printing setup.

If you've had problems with parts adhering to the print bed, warping, bad smell, noise, or dust; a Printer enclosure is the right answer for you.
While 3d Printing is a fun, productive activity, do note there are nuisance factors.
-It can be loud if you are printing at home.
-Drafts of air or changes in temperature can lead to warping, print issues, and poor adhesion to the print surface.
-You are working with molten plastics that are known to release VOCs into the air that contain chemicals that are unhealth especially for kids.
Our 3D printer enclosure is the perfect compliment for setting up a safe, productive 3D printing environment with a great look. This printer enclosure includes all the parts you need to assemble (it takes about 30 minutes and we provide instructions) to work with your existing 3d Printer. FAQ
What is your return Policy?
We have a 30 day return policy. Unused, undamaged panels that still have the masking fully attached are eligible for a full refund less return shipping. If panels are damaged (after shipment) or the protective mask layer has been removed, we cannot offer a refund. For best results in ensuring fitment and to ensure you like the setup of our enclosures consider at least partially assembling with the mask on. If you find out it isn't for you, this allows to get the return for a full refund.
Why would I order Polycarbonate vs. Acrylic?
Panel choice is the only feature on our enclosures that you can't change after the fact. First things first, 1/4" is the best upgrade we offer, if you get nothing else, get 1/4" Panels before upgrading anything else. Polycarbonate is impact resistant, where acrylic is scratch resistant. Acrylic is good for almost all filaments, including high temp filaments like ABS, ASA, and PC. Polycarbonate Panels only need to be used in specialized situations where you require a chamber temperature above 60° C.
Why would I go for a Recirculating Filter vs an Intake / Exhaust Setup?
Firstly, this will depend on the filaments you plan on printing with, for PLA / PETG, we recommend our Intake and Exhaust filters, this allows you to dial in the temperature the enclosure is, and allows for venting the fumes directly outside with a 4" Exhaust hose. For higher temp filaments (ASA / ABS and above), our Recirculating filter shines, it keeps down on fumes and smells with activated Charcoal and a Hepa filter, and it keeps chamber temperature high.
There are some differences between your product pictures.
We update these often and as a small business it isn't realistic to do a fresh photoshoot for every iteration. In general function is always constant or better as we improve things. For the clearest indication of our current version, please rely on the renderings rather than the photos.
