Filters are configured on the enclosure page. Pick the enclosure first, then add the filter that fits how you vent.
Which filter should I get?
Two Clearview filters, plus a commercial-grade step-up:
The $99 exhausting carbon/HEPA is best used for low VOC filaments like PLA, PETG, and TPU. It pushes filtered air out through a hose, so it suits a room where you can run the hose to a window or duct.
The $169 recirculating carbon/HEPA processes the air and returns it to the room, so no window and no duct run.
The Print Pro 3 by Donaldson is an industrial grade filter with about 8 to 10 lbs of charcoal and deeper HEPA filters to ensure fume mitigation. It connects to the same exhaust bracket.
With both of the Clearview filters we do not make performance or health claims on our filters. You can add either one right on the enclosure page, or find them in the accessories section.
Does the HEPA filter catch fine particles?
The HEPA filter captures 99.97% of particles down to 0.3 microns. We don't make claims about VOC capture or about particles smaller than 0.3 microns. With both of the Clearview filters we do not make performance or health claims on our filters.
I can't vent outdoors. What are my options?
Use the $169 recirculating unit — it processes the air and returns it to the room, so no window and no duct run. If you want a commercial-grade filter for a workshop or lab, the Print Pro 3 by Donaldson is the step-up.
How does the filter mount, and how often do I replace it?
The filter bolts onto any one of the available exhaust fan ports with the included hardware, and each filter unit runs on its own fan. Most of the time the filter should be replaced after about 500 print hours; in a dusty shop it may need replacing sooner. Replacement filters are on the site.
I ordered an enclosure and no filter came with it. Is something missing?
Nothing is missing. On the entry-level enclosures the air filter is part of the Pro Pack add-on at checkout; if Pro Pack wasn't selected, no filter ships with the kit. On standard enclosures the filters are separate options on the enclosure page. Either way you can add a filter any time from the 3D printer air filters page — $99 exhausting or $169 recirculating.
