An A2L is an open-frame machine. There is no shell, no door, no filter — whatever comes off the plate goes straight into the air you are standing in, for the whole length of the job. On a CoreXY printer an enclosure is a second barrier around an existing one. Here it is the first, and the only. The A2L's larger build volume means longer jobs, which means more hours of it.
The Clearview enclosure puts a defined volume around the machine, then gives that volume somewhere to send its air: filtered cool intake low, active exhaust high, and 120 mm ports that take any of our filters. On this design the intake is doing two jobs — feeding the filtration path and carrying cool air across the printer chassis. Bolt-on, CNC cut, 60 to 120 minutes to assemble, no modification to the machine.

The case for the first box
An enclosed machine at least holds heat around the print and slows what leaves. An open frame holds nothing. That makes the airflow design here more load-bearing than on any enclosed printer we build for.
Off-gassing happens at some level with every filament, PLA included. On an open frame none of it is held anywhere — it goes directly into the room, for the whole length of the print.
The A2L's larger build area means longer prints, and a print that runs eleven hours emits for eleven hours. Scale is the argument here, not just material.
An open bed-slinger is exposed to every draft in the room. That shows up as warped corners and poor first-layer adhesion long before anyone blames the air.
Sanding grit, wood dust, pet hair. On an open machine there is nothing between the shop and the rails, the lead screw or the bed.
What you're getting
Magnetically latched, with a clear panel so a job can be checked without opening it. Generous reach to the plate and the control screen.
Filtered make-up air is drawn in at the bottom and carried across the chassis. On this design the intake is part of the cooling strategy, not only the filtration path.
Takes any Clearview filter or a ducting bracket on the standard pattern. Active exhaust is how heat leaves the enclosure rather than accumulating in it.
Optional. Lets an operator check a print through the panel rather than opening the door mid-job.
The material bank mounts outside the enclosure, keeping the filament path short and the spools off the bench.
Panels bolt to printed corner brackets. A rubber grommet takes power and USB through the panel instead of through a door gap.
See it from every angle
The full CAD model of the enclosure on the machine — spin it, zoom it, and check clearances against your own bench before you order. Worth doing on this one: at 31″ deep it is deeper than most desks. It loads only when you open it, so it costs nothing to have on the page.

External holders carry the material bank on top of and beside the enclosure, so the filament run into the machine stays short and the bench stays clear.

At 31″ front-to-back the A2L enclosure is deeper than most desks and workbenches, which run 24–30″. It will overhang a standard surface. This is the number to check before anything else.
Air management
Those are two halves of one system, and they only work together. It is also why this enclosure is not gasketed — restrict the airflow and you neuter the filtration, and on this design you would also be restricting the air that cools the machine. All three mount to the port pattern and are selectable when you configure the enclosure.
Fan housing, 4″ hose and window insert, with carbon and HEPA. Moves air outside and reduces fumes and smells. Needs exterior vent access and is slightly bulkier — and on an open-frame machine it is also the heat path.
HEPA and activated charcoal in a streamlined unit. No window required, reduces fumes and smells. Honestly: under heavy high-temp use it isn't always a complete answer on odor.
Donaldson filtration with far deeper capacity than the other two. Absolute assurance on VOC and particulate mitigation. The answer when reduction isn't enough — occupied offices, clinics, labs, classrooms.
Most people assume PLA is completely benign. Our customers who are physicians, engineers, or running professional environments don't make that assumption. Off-gassing happens at some level with every filament. The question is just what level of management is right for your space and your sensitivity.
Before you buy
Bambu Lab does not recommend enclosing the A-series, on the grounds that elevated internal temperature may shorten the life of the printer's electronics. We would rather you read that here than find it later.
Our response is a design one. Filtered cool air is drawn in low and routed across the chassis, and heat is carried out by active exhaust rather than allowed to accumulate. We have run this configuration on our own production machines for years. We publish no chamber temperature and we offer no warranty, express or implied, on your printer or its electronics — that risk is yours to accept. Higher-temperature materials call for a hotter chamber and increase it.
If that trade isn't one you want to make, this isn't the right product for you, and we would rather say so now than after you've bought it.
For institutional buyers
Schools, labs, shared makerspaces. The A-series is a classroom favourite, which means the equipment clears the technical review and then stalls on documentation — someone in EHS or facilities needs written evidence before a machine goes into an occupied room. Two documents solve that, and you can read both before you buy anything.

Fitment and options
Minimum table top 25″ × 33″, rated to 100 lb, at 28–32″ working height. At 31″ deep it will overhang most desks — measure before you order.
Minimum table top 22″ × 25″, rated to 80 lb. Same design, smaller machine — listed separately.
Leave rear clearance on both. These run active intake and exhaust, so the exhaust path needs a few inches behind the enclosure. An IKEA LACK is 21.65″ square and will not work for the A2L in either direction. Outside these two sizes, the same design is built to size.
A 1/4″ optically clear acrylic front panel so you can watch the print, with white PVC on the sides and top. Five-sided.
If you change one thing on the configurator, change this. Same thickness the whole way around, better fit, feel and finish — then pick the material that matches what you print.
Clear acrylic is the best all-round choice. Smoked is the same panel with a quieter look. Polycarbonate trades scratch resistance for impact resistance. Amber orange screens UV.
Panel choice is the one option you can't change after the fact.

What is your return policy?
We have a 30-day return policy. Unused, undamaged panels with the masking fully attached are eligible for a full refund less return shipping. If panels are damaged after shipment, or the protective mask has been removed, we cannot offer a refund. To check fitment and confirm you like the setup, consider partially assembling with the mask still on — if it isn't for you, you're still eligible for a full refund.
There are some differences between your product photos.
We update our enclosures often, and as a small business a fresh photoshoot for every iteration isn't realistic. Function is always constant or improved as we refine the design. For the clearest indication of our current version, please rely on the renderings rather than the photos.
Bambu doesn't recommend enclosing the A2L. Why do you offer an enclosure?
There's nothing wrong with following Bambu's guidance, and we state it plainly in the section above and in the product and safety overview. Many printer manufacturers carry a similar warning that enclosing could shorten a printer's life — yet many owners enclose successfully for years. The concern is that elevated chamber temperatures may eventually affect the electronics, so we engineered this enclosure with filtered cool-air intake routed across the chassis and active exhaust to carry heat out rather than let it accumulate.
Without an enclosure, you'll more often run into warping, clogged nozzles, and reduced print quality — and the printer off-gasses particulate directly into your room. Our exhaust and filtration options give that air somewhere to go. Hotter, advanced filaments require a hotter chamber, which places more stress on the electronics over time. We publish no chamber temperature figure, and Clearview makes no guarantee or warranty (express or implied) on your 3D printer or its electronics. If you're not willing to assume that risk, enclosing this printer may not be for you.
