Clearview Plastics · Bambu Lab H2 Series External Enclosure · H2D / H2S / H2C
The H2 series gives you an enclosed, heated chamber, and it is very good at that. What it does not do is decide where the air goes. Heat stays in. Everything else — the ultrafine particles and the off-gassing you can't see or smell — comes out into the room you're standing in. Meanwhile the AMS, every spool you own, and the whole filament path sit outside the printer in that same room air, collecting whatever dust your shop makes.
The Clearview H2 Series Enclosure puts a second, controlled volume around all of it. Printer, AMS, spools, material path — one box, with a filtered low intake, a high exhaust port, and a mounting pattern ready for real filtration or a duct run out a window. Bolt-on, CNC cut, no modification to the printer.
Two sizes — Standard and XL, XL encloses the AMS 2 120 mm ports — two rear, plus one per side door Ships flat-packed · standard kits in 10 business days or less
The case for a second box
A printer's shell is built to hold heat around the print. An enclosure is built to hold air around the printer — and then give that air somewhere to go. Two different jobs. Two boxes.
Off-gassing happens at some level with every filament — PLA included. Contained air that never leaves the room isn't managed air. The enclosure concentrates it so a filter or exhaust can actually do something with it.
The AMS and your spools live in room air — humidity, dust, drafts. The XL sizing brings the printer, the AMS and the full filament path into one controlled volume.
Sanding grit, wood dust, metal chips, pet hair. A machine that shares a bench with a saw or a grinder is pulling all of it through the motion system. A second wall keeps the shop out of the printer.
Every seal on every machine fails the second you pull a part out. Inside a Clearview enclosure that moment happens in a volume that's still being drawn through the exhaust, not in the middle of your office.
What you're getting — H2D shown, XL size
Full-height doors with a positive T-handle latch. Reach the plate, the spools and the back of the machine without moving the enclosure or pulling panels.
The XL size sits the AMS 2 on top of the printer, inside the box. Standard size feeds it in from outside through the panel. Running more than one? Extras go outside and feed through the grommets.
Two on the rear panel, plus one on each side door you select. Any Clearview filter or ducting bracket mounts to the same pattern; unused ports ship covered.
Clean make-up air enters filtered at the bottom and loaded air leaves at the top. That is what gives you a sweep across the chamber instead of a dead pocket.
Add the 13 in LED bars and you can watch a print through smoked or clear panels without opening a door. Skip them if your bench is already lit.
Panels cut and drilled here, bolted to printed corner brackets, shipped flat. The optional HD Hardware Kit swaps in steel hardware where you want the extra durability.
Tailored fit
The panel set is dimensioned to the H2 series specifically — not a universal box shimmed down until it clears. That matters less for how it looks than for how you work. A box that is the wrong size is a box you fight on every print. This one is sized so the machine keeps working the way you already use it.

Split grommets on the rear and side panels take filament tube, data and power. Push a line through and the grommet closes back around it — no open hole, no taped-over gap.

The door closes the same way on the five-hundredth print as the first. Hardware you can tighten, replace and live with — and the optional HD Hardware Kit puts steel where it takes the most wear.
Ports
Two on the rear panel, plus one on each side door you select, every one cut to the same 120 mm fan mounting pattern. Ports you are not using ship covered, so the enclosure is closed on day one and ready the day you change your mind.

A 95 CFM carbon and HEPA unit that moves air out of the enclosure and outside through a window insert. Reduces fumes and smells. The fan is rated around 16.8 dB, so the printer stays the loudest thing on the bench.

The intake filter feeds clean make-up air in at a low port. Where a window is not an option, the recirculating carbon and HEPA unit mounts to the same pattern and returns filtered air to the room. Reduces fumes and smells.
Air management
Those are two halves of one system, and they only work together. It is also why this enclosure is not gasketed — restrict the airflow and you neuter the filtration. All three mount to the port pattern and are selectable when you configure the enclosure. Pick the level that matches your space and your sensitivity.
Fan, hose and window insert. Moves air outside and reduces fumes and smells. The simplest setup of the three — needs exterior vent access and is slightly bulkier. The right starting point for most people.
HEPA and carbon in a streamlined unit. No window required, reduces fumes and smells. Honestly: under heavy high-temp use it isn't always a complete answer on odor.
Donaldson filtration with far deeper capacity than the other two. Absolute assurance on VOC and particulate mitigation. This is the answer when reduction isn't enough — occupied offices, clinics, labs, anyone who needs certainty rather than reduction.
Most people assume PLA is completely benign. Our customers who are physicians, engineers, or running professional environments don't make that assumption. Off-gassing happens at some level with every filament. The question is just what level of management is right for your space and your sensitivity.
For institutional buyers
Schools, labs, aerospace and defense shops, shared makerspaces. The equipment clears the technical review and then stalls on documentation, because someone in EHS or facilities needs written evidence before a machine goes into an occupied room. Two documents solve that, and you can read both before you buy anything.
Three to five documents, depending on the machine. Not generic shop boilerplate — every one is rebuilt around your specific make and model, with its real specifications, hazards, airflow numbers and procedures. Delivered as editable Word files, so you add your logo, your facility names and your sign-offs. They take a machine from delivered in a box to defensible in a workplace.
Hazard assessment, SOPs, PPE, LOTO, emergency response, and the regulatory mapping behind it.
Safety officer / EHSElectrical, layout, environment, and a pre-installation sign-off checklist — before the machine arrives.
FacilitiesAirflow specifications, duct and filter design, and the maintenance schedule behind them.
Facilities / HVACInspection schedules and preventive maintenance that keep the records audit-ready.
Operators / techsPlain-language hazard training for students, visitors and untrained staff, with authorization checklists.
Instructors / lab managersStandards referenced throughout: OSHA 29 CFR 1910 · Cal/OSHA Title 8 · NIOSH 2024-103 · ANSI/UL 2904 · ANSI Z535 and Z87.1 · NFPA 101. Available on its own, or bundled with the enclosure.
See a sample of the packIf you need to put this in front of an EHS officer, a facilities manager, or whoever signs the requisition, send them this instead of a link to a product page. It is written for them, not for you.
For a lot of buyers this is the difference between "we'll look into it" and a purchase order.
Fitment and options
AMS feeds in from outside. The spool unit stays on the bench and the filament runs through the panel on the included TPU Bowden fitting. Minimally sized — it wraps the machine and nothing more.
Pulling the printer's top lid means taking the front panel off first — about a ten-minute job.
AMS goes inside, on top of the printer. Spools, filament path and machine all in one controlled volume — or run it externally if you prefer. Required if you use the side-mounted spool holder.
The taller box is what makes the material path part of the enclosed environment.
Both sizes: the printer sits about 25 mm up on printed feet — included in the parts kit — so the door clears. Plan on a bench rated to 150 lb at 28–32″ high. A table that flexes shows up as ringing in your prints, so pick a solid top over a light one.
A 1/4″ optically clear acrylic front panel so you can watch the print, with expanded PVC on the sides, rear and top. Five-sided.
If you change one thing on the configurator, change this. Same thickness all the way around, better fit, feel and finish — then pick the material that matches what you print.
Clear acrylic is the best all-round choice. Smoked is the same panel with a quieter look. Polycarbonate trades scratch resistance for impact resistance. Amber orange screens UV for resin work.
Panel choice is the one option you can't change after the fact.

Our main objective was to give your printer an unobstructed view from any angle. At the same time, our enclosures offer easy access with a magnetically latched front door and a cable port to route all your connections. Last, the side access door is perfectly placed to access the USB port and power switches.
We also have adapted options for our Carbon Air Scrubbing filter and vibration dampening feet. Both do as they suggest. The Carbon Air Scrubbing Filter uses a silent fan to pass air through a carbon filter to reduce fumes created from the 3D printing process. Especially if you are printing ABS, you will want to include the filter option. Our Vibration Dampening Feet use a multi-material lamination that dissipates vibrations at 5 different levels. If you are printing in an area where printing noise needs to be reduced, this is an essential addition to your 3D printing setup.
We offer a black or Prusa Orange color option for the brackets and fittings for your printer. With your purchase, we also offer STL access to these files so that you can print these fittings in the colors you want. ADDITIONALLY, with your purchase, we also offer the STL files of future attachments and accessories for your enclosure. If we come up with a mod, you get access to it for free!
This makes a great gift for the 3D printing tinkerer within your friends or family.
If you’ve had problems with parts adhering to the print bed, warping, bad smell, noise, or dust; a Printer enclosure is the right answer for you.
While 3D Printing is a fun, productive activity, do note there are nuisance factors.
-It can be loud if you are printing at home.
-Drafts of air or changes in temperature can lead to warping, print issues, and poor adhesion to the print surface.
-You are working with molten plastics that are known to release VOCs into the air that contain chemicals that are unhealthy especially for kids.
Our 3D printer enclosure is the perfect complement for setting up a safe, productive 3D printing environment with a great look. This printer enclosure includes all the parts you need to assemble (it takes about 30 minutes and we provide instructions) to work with your existing 3D Printer. The front door access provides generous room to access your print bed and printer control panel. We also include a specialized rubber grommet to fit your power cable and USB into the enclosure. Last, we include PETG parts and hardware for final assembly so you can get printing!

FAQ
What is your return Policy?
We have a 30 day return policy. Unused, undamaged panels that still have the masking fully attached are eligible for a full refund less return shipping. If panels are damaged (after shipment) or the protective mask layer has been removed, we cannot offer a refund. For best results in ensuring fitment and to ensure you like the setup of our enclosures consider at least partially assembling with the mask on. If you find out it isn’t for you, this allows to get the return for a full refund.
Why would I order Polycarbonate vs. Acrylic?
Panel choice is the only feature on our enclosures that you can’t change after the fact. First things first, 1/4" is the best upgrade we offer—if you get nothing else, get 1/4" panels before upgrading anything else. Polycarbonate is impact resistant, while acrylic is scratch resistant. Acrylic is good for almost all filaments, including high-temp filaments like ABS, ASA, and PC. Polycarbonate panels are only needed in specialized situations where you require a chamber temperature above 60°C.
Why would I go for a Recirculating Filter vs an Intake / Exhaust Setup?
Firstly, this will depend on the filaments you plan on printing with. For PLA / PETG, we recommend our Intake and Exhaust filters—this allows you to dial in the enclosure’s temperature and vent fumes directly outside with a 4" exhaust hose. For higher-temp filaments (ASA / ABS and above), our Recirculating filter shines, reducing fumes and smells with activated charcoal and a HEPA filter while keeping chamber temperature high.
There are some differences between your product pictures.
We update these often and as a small business it isn’t realistic to do a fresh photoshoot for every iteration. In general, function is always constant or better as we improve things. For the clearest indication of our current version, please rely on the renderings rather than the photos.
