Built to order · Quoted per build
Every AREX enclosure is engineered around your head, your parts and your floor. Send us the model and lens, what you're marking and where it will sit. You'll get a general-arrangement drawing and a written quote.
The Datalogic AREX 400 is Datalogic's fiber laser marker: a 1070 nm pulsed fiber source from 10 W to 100 W, a compact scan head and a separate control rack. It marks the codes, serials and logos traceability programs depend on, on metal and plastic parts. It ships as a Class 4 laser product. That wavelength is invisible, reflects off the metal you're marking, and passes straight through clear acrylic and polycarbonate.
Datalogic's own manual says the AREX 400 is not intended for immediate use, and that safety of the finished system belongs to whoever builds it. This is that system's housing: an opaque aluminum-composite enclosure or a complete workstation, built to the AREX scan head, with door interlocks wired to the safety connector, a 1064 nm laser-safety window, and extraction sized to what you're marking. The head itself is never touched.
Marking anodized aluminum, coated steel, plastics or beryllium copper puts fume in the room. For beryllium copper, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1024 sets the exposure limit at 0.2 µg/m³. The person loading parts all shift breathes whatever the enclosure doesn't capture. Every AREX build includes a source-capture port at the mark and an exhaust port sized to your extractor (4" or 75 mm). A commercial-grade Donaldson BOFA extractor package is available when you want assurance, not just reduction.

50 W and 100 W racks and earlier AREX units differ in size. We confirm every dimension against your unit before we cut.
The earlier AREX 10 / 20 / 30 / 50 W and AREX 20 MOPA, with their 2 kg scan heads, and the Vlase IR 10 and Vlase IR 20 1064 nm markers. Vlase UV 3 and Vlase Green run at 355 nm and 532 nm, and the EOX CO₂ markers at 10.6 µm. Those are quoted separately with a window matched to the wavelength. All-in-one UniQ and Ulyxe units are quoted on request.
Will this make my AREX a Class 1 laser?
No enclosure sold on its own does that. Laser classification belongs to the finished laser system and its manufacturer under 21 CFR 1040.10. We build the protective housing and interlock provisions your safety plan calls for. Your laser safety officer gets the drawings, materials and window data for the ANSI Z136.1 evaluation. If your program needs a certified Class 1 system, tell us at the start and we'll plan it with you and your laser vendor.
How is this different from a standard marking station?
A standard station is built around a standard stage. We build around your part: long stock through side doors, fixtures that register the part for repeatable code grades, two heads in one housing, and a rack and extractor in the same footprint.
Can you build it before our AREX arrives?
Yes. We design from Datalogic's published dimensions for your model and lens, then confirm the mount and working distance against your unit before final assembly.
Do you install or commission the laser?
We build and ship the enclosure with its drawings and interlock wiring diagram. Datalogic or your integrator commissions the marker, which keeps its certification and warranty with the company that made it.
POs and net terms?
Yes. We accept POs, ACH and cards, supply a W-9 on request, and offer net terms on qualifying orders.
Send the model, the lens and the part. We'll scope the station.
