Our standard acrylic enclosures are perfect for most desktop machines. But for larger equipment, heavier panels, or industrial environments, 25mm aluminum extrusion provides the rigidity and modularity you need.
The T-slot frame accepts accessories at any point — mount lights, sensors, cable trays, or filtration wherever you need it. And the modular construction means you can disassemble, relocate, or reconfigure the enclosure as your shop evolves.
Choosing your options
Six panel materials, four filtration paths and a dozen accessories is a lot of choice if nobody tells you what each one is for. Most of the wrong configurations we see are not extravagant — they are someone picking the cheapest panel for a job that needed a different one. Here is how to choose.
A custom Clearview enclosure is CNC-cut to your dimensions in Sacramento, up to 2000 mm on any axis, and ships flat-packed with every bracket, fastener and grommet in the box. What it becomes — a fume enclosure, a dust containment box, a UV-screening cabinet, a laboratory isolation enclosure — is decided almost entirely by the options below.
Step 1 — Panel material
This is the only choice you cannot change after the fact. Everything else bolts on later; the panels are cut once, to your numbers.
Optically clear and the best all-round choice. Full visibility of the process, good scratch resistance, and the finish most people expect from a display-grade enclosure.
The same panel with a quieter look. Cuts glare and hides a busy machine in a shared office or a showroom, while still letting an operator check a job without opening a door.
Screens ultraviolet. This is the panel for resin printers, UV-curing processes and anything where ambient light reaching the work is itself the problem. Clear acrylic does not do this.
Trades scratch resistance for impact resistance. The answer where something inside could be thrown or where the panel might be struck — CNC routers, machining, anything with chips or a spinning tool.
Opaque, light, rigid and the most economical panel we cut. Where you do not need to see in — rear and side walls, sound-deadening builds, or a cost-driven build with a clear front only.
An aluminium-skinned composite panel. Rigid, opaque and the most durable surface in the range — the choice for a shop-floor enclosure that will be knocked, leaned on and cleaned repeatedly.

Width, depth and height are yours up to 2000 mm per axis. The bracket system adapts to the numbers you enter rather than forcing you toward a stock size.

Front door as standard, with side, rear and top doors available. Put the opening on the face you actually stand at — and add a second one where a machine needs service access from behind.
Step 2 — Air management
Two halves of one system. The box concentrates whatever your process gives off so that a fan or filter has one place to act on — and that second half is a separate selection. An enclosure with no air path is a container, not a control.
A pre-filter on incoming air. Keeps room dust and debris out of the enclosure — worth having on any process where contamination ruins the work, and part of the airflow path on any active setup.
Dual-stage HEPA and activated charcoal, moving air out of the enclosure. Reduces fumes and smells. The simplest path and the one most facilities reviewers expect — it needs somewhere to discharge.
Self-contained HEPA and activated charcoal that returns filtered air to the room. No ducting, no window. Reduces fumes and smells; under heavy use it is not always a complete answer on odour.
The complete outdoor path — duct, bracket and window seal. Pair it with the exhaust filter when the honest answer is that the air should leave the building rather than be filtered and returned.
Which one: if you have a window or a wall you can penetrate, exhaust outdoors. If you do not, recirculate and budget for replacing the carbon. If the room is occupied and the process is genuinely hazardous, neither consumer tier is the right answer — ask us about commercial-grade filtration instead.
Step 3 — Hardware and accessories
Applications
The panel and filtration choices above are what turn the same cut geometry into a very different piece of equipment. These are the builds we quote most often.
FDM, resin and SLA. Contains volatile organic compounds and fine particulate so a filter or exhaust can act on them, and keeps shop dust out of the motion system. Amber panels for resin, clear or smoked for filament.
Chips, dust and noise. Polycarbonate is the panel here — impact resistance matters more than scratch resistance the moment a tool can throw something. Pair with intake and exhaust to keep fine dust off the room.
Smoke volume is immediate and heavy on a laser, so venting is not an upsell — it is the point. Ask about safety-rated paneling if your review calls for a rated barrier rather than containment.
Solvent and ink off-gassing plus ambient ultraviolet. Amber panels screen the UV; the filtration path handles the rest. Common on desktop UV flatbeds.
Keeping a process away from the room, or the room away from a process. Intake filtration on positive-pressure builds; exhaust on anything generating vapour. Sized to bench, cart or floor.

Where the standard build stops
The standard enclosure is not gasketed, and that is deliberate. Its job is to contain and concentrate so that a fan or filter can do the mitigating, and that system needs air moving through it. Restrict the airflow and you work against the filtration rather than with it.
Where a review genuinely requires sealed containment, a rated barrier, or integrated ducting rather than a bolt-on filter, those are the specialty options on the configurator above — gasketed seams and doors, safety-rated paneling, and integrated exhaust systems. They are quoted individually because they are engineered individually, and because we would rather scope them properly than sell you a standard box against a requirement it does not meet.

Common questions
Up to 2000 mm on any axis through the configurator. Larger than that, or multi-bay and enclosure-within-enclosure builds, we quote directly — we regularly build for university labs, manufacturing floors and commercial facilities.
Clear acrylic for filament printers where you want to watch the print. Amber for resin and any UV-cured process, because clear acrylic does not screen ultraviolet. Smoked if the machine sits in an office and you would rather not look at it all day.
On its own an enclosure contains and concentrates — it does not remove anything. If your reason for enclosing is air quality rather than dust, noise or containment, you need the second half of the system: exhaust to outside, or a recirculating carbon and HEPA unit.
