Phrozen Sonic XL 4K Plus Dental Resin 3D Printer Enclosure V2.0 - Coming Soon

The Phrozen Sonic XL 4K Plus runs in dental labs and clinics, usually in a room people work in all day. An open resin printer works in the same air they do. Uncured resin and IPA both give off vapor, and it doesn't stay over the vat. It moves through the room and settles on everything around the bench. Room light reaches the vat, and dust reaches wet prints before you've had a chance to wash them. This enclosure puts a boundary around the machine.

What you get

The Clearview SLA V2.0 enclosure in the Medium size, our recommended size for the Sonic XL 4K Plus. It is a bolt-on panel kit: panels, hardware, and a printed parts kit. Screw-together assembly in 60 to 120 minutes. No fabrication, and no hard mods to the printer itself.

How the printer's cover opens inside it

The Sonic XL 4K Plus cover pivots at its top front edge. It swings forward, up, and over until it stands straight above the printer, taller than the enclosure itself. Partway through, the cover passes the front of the enclosure, and at the end it stands up through the top. The printer sits toward the front of the enclosure, close to the door, with room behind it for cables and the exhaust hose. The frameless door design is what gives the cover its path: the front door swings flat against the side, the top hatch lifts clear, and the corner where they meet opens as one piece with no frame rail in the way. Size to the printer with the cover closed. The cover never has to fit inside.

Panel material options

• 1/4" clear acrylic is the standard. Optically clear, full view of the plate from any angle.
• 1/4" smoked tint acrylic cuts the light coming in without going opaque.
• 1/4" heavy duty polycarbonate (clear) is the one to pick if IPA is in the picture. Holds up to wash-station splash and repeated wipe-down better than acrylic.
• 1/4" UV blocking amber acrylic blocks ambient UV from reaching the vat.

Air management

The enclosure's job is to contain and concentrate what comes off the machine. The fan or filter does the mitigating. Two parts, working together. The 4" exhaust hose bracket is included, and everything below mounts to it.

• Duct it outside with the 200 CFM high output fan with speed control, or the 4" inline fan exhaust kit. Pair with the window exhaust insert, a blast gate, and 4" flexible hose.
• 95 CFM exhausting carbon/HEPA filter reduces fumes and smells.
• Recirculating carbon/HEPA filter reduces fumes and smells. Stays on the bench, no window needed.
• Print Pro 3 by Donaldson gives absolute assurance on VOCs and particulate. For rooms where that is the requirement, not the preference.

Kit, or assembled and ready to run

The enclosure ships flat-packed by UPS as a kit. If you would rather not build it, we can assemble and test it here so it arrives ready to run. Assembled enclosures ship on a pallet by freight.

For the people who have to sign off on it

Dental labs and clinics often can't install equipment without documentation on file. The resin safety and compliance document pack is five editable documents: Safety and Compliance Package, Ventilation and Exhaust Guide, Room Readiness Guide, Maintenance and Inspection Guide, and Visitor and Student Safety Orientation.

Designed and built in house in California. One-year warranty against manufacturer defects. 30 day returns on unused panels with the masking still attached. Printed parts and STL files supported after ordering, including future revisions.
