It ships assembled, on a pallet

This is a four-foot box on a 30 mm extrusion frame. A frame that size, assembled out of a carton by someone who has never squared extrusion, ends up out of square — and an out-of-square polycarbonate box leaks at every seam, which defeats the entire point of buying it. So we don't flat-pack this one. We build it, square it, check it and crate it here.

What you get from us is a polycarbonate enclosure cut to your instrument's actual envelope, on a real frame, assembled and checked before it ships, from a shop you can call and talk to. What you do not get is their certification paperwork. If the paperwork is the requirement, buy theirs. That is a straight answer, not modesty.

Straight talk, and please read this one

This enclosure contains vapour and gives it a path out. We do not test to ANSI/ASHRAE 110, SEFA 9 or AFNOR NF X 15-211, we do not validate filtration, and we make no capture-efficiency, airflow, breakthrough or health claims.

So: this is the right product if you are ducting to outside air and want containment, visibility and spill control around an awkward instrument. It is the wrong product if your EHS group requires validated ductless filtration, if you are working with low-molecular-weight solvents that carbon handles poorly, or if you need documented containment for a regulated process. In those cases buy from Air Science, Erlab or Mystaire — that is what their certifications buy, and we would rather say so up front than take the order.

Freight, plainly

This arrives on a truck, not in a van. Confirm you have a dock, or ask us to quote a liftgate before you order. Residential, limited-access, campus-dock-only and inside-delivery addresses all cost more, and we will quote you rather than surprise you. When it lands, inspect the crate before you sign the delivery receipt — once you sign clean, a damage claim gets a great deal harder for both of us.

Send us the rotovap model, the bath, the condenser configuration and your bench height. Vertical and diagonal condensers change the envelope significantly, and so does whether the chiller sits inside or beside.
