You put the AMS 3H on top of the H3C because that is where Bambu designed it to go. Then you put the printer on a bench, and the spool lid ended up at 55 inches. Every filament change, every TPU bypass, every tool swap through the AMS side window is now a reach up and over, blind, to a machine you paid $2,499 for. Reviewers used ladders. One bought the stand before the second spool.
The height is simple arithmetic. The H3C with the AMS 3H is 41 inches tall closed, and Bambu says to allow 1.3 metres — 51 inches — to open the AMS lid. Put the Clearview enclosure around it and the box is 44.3 inches. On a standard 30-inch bench the enclosure lid hinges at 74 inches and the AMS latch sits at 71. That is above eye level for nearly every adult who will ever use it.
The fix isn't a taller person. It's a shorter table. This one is 26 inches, on purpose: the enclosure lid lands at 70 inches, the AMS latch at 67, and the enclosure's side door — the one that lines up with the AMS side windows for spools and tools — sits between 48 and 67 inches. Eye height. Hand height. The machine ends up where you already are.
The frame is the enclosure's footprint, and the top extends exactly one inch past the enclosure on every side. Enough overhang to level, latch, and grip. Not so much that you've bought a piece of furniture you have to find room for.
Built on 40-series black anodized aluminum extrusion with cast corner brackets and M8 hardware — the same structural system used for CNC machine frames and industrial workstations. The top is 3/4" edge-banded melamine: flat, sealed, wipes clean, and won't telegraph a heat cycle the way a raw wood top will. One centre rail per level, so the long spans are not open spans.
It is the Core XY XL table with the short rails 23 mm longer and the top 0.9 in deeper — because the H3C is 100 mm deeper than an H2 and the Core XY XL table does not clear it. See the enclosure table fitment guide for the whole line.
The H3C with the AMS 3H weighs 80 pounds before the enclosure goes around it and nine spools go in it. This frame is specified for the printer, the AMS, the enclosure, a full spool bank and a large part with margin for motion — because the number that matters isn't what the table holds sitting still, it's what it holds while the fastest machine Bambu makes throws its toolhead around at 25,000 mm/s² on top of it.
Four leveling feet handle a floor that isn't as flat as you think it is. A machine that rocks a millimetre is a machine that ghosts — and on a 44-inch box, a millimetre at the feet is a lot more at the lid.
The H3C exhausts out the back when its chamber has to cool, and the enclosure's two rear ports are where that air gets dealt with — an exhaust fan and a 4" run to a window, a recirculating filter, or the Bambu E1 purifier's hose. All of that has to live behind the machine. The open frame leaves the rear clear for the hose and the purifier, the T-slots take cable clips and the hose clamp, and the storage cabinet keeps the E1's filter spares and the desiccant where they belong. Where the exhaust goes is a bench decision; this bench was designed with one in mind.
Add a fully enclosed mid-shelf with smoked acrylic panels and a cam lock. Filament, dryers, nozzles, tools, and spares stay visible, dust-free, and secured.
If you run this machine in a classroom, a shared lab, a makerspace, or any shop where more than one person walks past it, you already know why that's on the list. Consumables walk. This is the version of the answer that doesn't involve a plastic bin and hope.
Pair it with the lock kit on the enclosure — front door, side door and lid — and the whole stack is one key: printer, nine loaded spools, and the eight waiting underneath.
Printer, AMS, enclosure, filtration and spool storage on one rigid frame with a footprint of 29 by 28 inches. Add locking casters and it rolls to the window for the exhaust run, to the wall outlet the short factory cables can actually reach, or to the next classroom — and then it locks down and stops moving. That is the difference between a printer on a bench and a 3D printing workstation.
Your H3C will not be your last machine. Two years from now there's a faster one with a different footprint, and the bench you bought for this one is either the right size by luck or it's scrap. Extrusion doesn't work that way. Every surface of this frame is a mounting rail. Re-drop the T-nuts, move a rail, add a shelf, hang a spool holder, bolt on a monitor arm, restretch it for the next machine. It reconfigures because it was designed to be reconfigured.
You're not buying a table for a printer. You're buying the bench that survives the next three.
Every extrusion arrives cut to length and labeled. Brackets, T-nuts, and hardware are counted and bagged by step. Flat-pack keeps the freight sane and keeps the price honest — you're paying for aluminum and precision, not for air in a box.
Assembly is straightforward and takes one person an afternoon. No welding, no drilling, no cutting. If you can build the enclosure, you can build this. Or choose the assembled option and it arrives on a pallet, built, squared and ready to run.
The renders on this page show the H3C table under the H3C enclosure, in both the open-frame and storage-cabinet configurations. The dimensions listed on this page are the dimensions you receive: frame 27 × 26.42 in, top 29 × 28.42 in, 26 in tall. The top ships as 3/4" edge-banded melamine.
Cut, kitted, and shipped by the same shop that makes your enclosure. Same tolerances, same people, same phone number when you have a question. Backed by our 100% satisfaction guarantee and a 1-year warranty against manufacturer defects.
Not running an H3C? We build these for any enclosure in our catalog, and for machines that aren't. Send us your model and we'll confirm the exact footprint, height, and load rating before you order.
We can ship to virtually any address in the world. International orders include brokerage fees for customs. Duties, VAT, taxes, and other fees may need to be collected prior to delivery. Every country and local is different so we cannot provide an exact estimate of these fees.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
