OrangeStorm Giga Floor Base — Machine Foundation

This one doesn't go on a table.

An OrangeStorm Giga is roughly 230 pounds before the enclosure goes on. There is no consumer table rated for that, and most of the furniture it ends up on was never rated for anything at all. We're not going to sell you a table for this machine, because a table is the wrong product.

What a machine this size needs is a foundation: low, wide, and specified for the real number. This base stands 12 inches tall on 40 × 80 mm structural rails — double the section of our table frames — with a 49 × 44.3 inch platform that carries the full enclosure footprint with half an inch to spare on every side, and a 400 lb working load under all of it.

Twelve inches matters, too: it lifts the build area off the slab to working reach, gets the machine off cold concrete, and gives the leveling feet something to do on a floor that was never flat. A foundation, not furniture.

Cut to your enclosure. Not to a category.

The top extends exactly half an inch past the enclosure on every side. Enough overhang to level, latch, and grip. Not so much that you've bought a piece of furniture you have to find room for.

Built from the same black aluminum extrusion system as our workstation tables — cast brackets, M8 hardware, a sealed 3/4″ melamine deck — scaled up where this machine demands it.

Rated for what's actually on it

Two hundred thirty pounds of machine, plus the enclosure, plus a build plate the size of a coffee table. This frame is specified for a 400 lb working load with margin for motion — because the number that matters isn't what the table holds sitting still, it's what it holds while a gantry this large throws mass around on top of it.

Four leveling feet handle a floor that isn't as flat as you think it is. A base that shifts under a meter-class gantry shifts the print with it.

The air you're standing in

An enclosure contains fumes and ultrafine particles. It does not make them disappear. If you run ABS, ASA, or nylon, where the exhaust goes and whether the hose reaches a window or a filter without a kink are decisions that get made at the bench, not in the slicer. This frame stays out of the way of both: an open structure that never pinches a hose, T-slot channels on every rail for cable and duct management, and a footprint that lets the enclosure — not the table — decide how much room the 4-inch run gets behind it.

It outlives the printer

Your Giga will not be your last machine. Two years from now there's a faster one with a different footprint, and the bench you bought for this one is either the right size by luck or it's scrap. Extrusion doesn't work that way. Every surface of this frame is a mounting rail. Re-drop the T-nuts, move a rail, add a shelf, hang a spool holder, bolt on a monitor arm, restretch it for the next machine. It reconfigures because it was designed to be reconfigured.

You're not buying a table for a printer. You're buying the bench that survives the next three.

Every extrusion arrives cut to final length, deburred, and labeled, with the leg bores already tapped for the feet. The top and shelf come CNC-cut with the mounting holes counterbored. Brackets, T-nuts, and hardware are counted and bagged by step. Flat-pack keeps the freight sane and keeps the price honest — you're paying for aluminum and precision, not for air in a box.

Assembly is straightforward and takes one person about an hour. No welding, no drilling, no cutting. If you can build the enclosure, you can build this.
