UV / Fiber galvo laser marker enclosure — at a glance

A set-over enclosure for desktop fiber, MOPA, and UV galvo laser markers. It drops over the marker and its controller, so the machine stays bolted to your bench. Panels are 1/4" aluminum composite — opaque and rigid, not clear acrylic. The door is gasketed as standard, and a DIY seam sealing kit is available as an add-on. Assembly takes about 20–30 minutes with a Phillips screwdriver and a 2.5 mm hex wrench.

Laser viewing window

Each enclosure carries an 11 × 11" OD6+ laser-safety viewing window, matched to your wavelength: OD6+ for 1064 nm fiber and MOPA markers, or OD6+ for 355 nm UV markers.

Medium 15.75 × 23.75 × 27.5" · Large 18 × 29.5 × 30.5" · XL 21.5 × 29.5 × 34" · XL+ 21.5 × 29.5 × 38.25". Size to your machine, or size up to the media you're marking. With two optional side doors the enclosure opens on both sides as a pass-through for long or oversized stock.

Fume and particulate handling

A 4" exhaust adapter on the rear panel slips a 4" hose with a clamp so you can vent outdoors, with an optional 95 CFM or 200 CFM fan or the window exhaust kit. Where venting outside isn't an option, the Donaldson AD350 is industrial-grade filtration for fume and particulate generated by laser marking. Slide flow-control vents on the front and sides balance the airflow through the chamber.

On laser class

This enclosure carries OD6+ laser viewing windows and contains the beam, the glare, and the fumes. It does not change your laser's class. It is not certified to reclassify a Class 4 laser to Class 1, and it is not certified to ANSI Z136.1. Wear OD-rated safety glasses for your wavelength and follow Class 4 protocols. If you need a certified Class 1 solution, contact us about the WorkSafe line.

Build and support

CNC-cut in Sacramento, California. Lead time is 10 business days or less for standard enclosures. One-year warranty against manufacturer defects, and a 30-day return policy on unused, undamaged panels with the protective masking still attached. The 3D-printed brackets ship as STL files so you can reprint any part later, or add pre-printed parts to the order. Optional add-ons include HD metal hardware, a LightBurn hood camera, a magnetic 2-wire door interlock, and delivered-assembled shipping.

Real laser-light containment — pick your window

Unlike a hobby box, this enclosure is built for genuine beam containment. Galvo markers are Class 4 lasers: fiber at 1064 nm is an invisible infrared beam that reflects off the very metal you're marking, and UV at 355 nm is hazardous to eyes and skin.

• OD7+ viewing window (1064 nm) — an 11 × 11" laser-safety window (800–1100 nm, ~30% transmittance) so you can watch a fiber / MOPA job without the infrared reaching your eyes.
• OD6+ viewing window (355 nm) — the UV-rated window option for 355 nm UV markers.
• Aluminum composite panels — opaque, rigid, and beam-stopping; not clear acrylic.
• Door gasketing — seals the door perimeter to keep fumes in and block stray light leakage around the edges.

Contain the fumes and soot

• 4" exhaust adapter — connects a flexible 4" hose on the rear panel to vent outdoors or to a filter.
• Fan & venting options — add a 95 CFM or 200 CFM fan, or our window exhaust kit, for the extraction your workload needs.

Frequently asked questions

Which window do I choose — OD7+ or OD6+?
Pick OD7+ for a 1064 nm fiber or MOPA marker, and OD6+ for a 355 nm UV marker. The window is matched to your laser's wavelength so you can watch the job while the beam stays contained.

Does this reclassify my Class 4 laser to Class 1?
No. This enclosure contains the beam, glare, and fumes and dramatically reduces stray-light exposure, but it is not certified to reclassify your laser or to meet ANSI standards. Always wear OD-rated safety glasses for your wavelength and follow Class 4 protocols. If you need a formally certified/Class 1 solution, contact us about our Worksafe enclosure.

What are the exhaust and filtration options?
A 4" exhaust adapter is included to vent outside via a flexible hose. Add a 95 CFM or 200 CFM fan or our window exhaust kit, or step up to a heavy-duty Donaldson AD350 laser-rated filtration unit for indoor operation.

Can it act as a pass-through for long or oversized media?
Yes. Add the optional side doors — with two side doors, the enclosure opens on both sides so you can pass long or large stock straight through.

Can I get it assembled?
Yes. Choose the delivered-assembled option and it ships built and ready to use instead of flat-packed. You can also add a magnetic door interlock (2-wire lead) and extra seam sealing.

What is your return policy?
We offer a 30-day return policy. Unused, undamaged panels with the masking fully attached are eligible for a full refund less return shipping. If panels are damaged after shipment or the protective mask has been removed, we can't offer a refund.
